Ten Mile Point | Cadboro Bay Neighbourhood Guide
Idyllic small town feel, close to the university.
The Peninsula of Ten Mile Point is a truly special neighbourhood unlike any other in Victoria. On average the lots here are larger, the roads feel more country, and your surround by water. Most buyers are drawn to the area for its grander lots, rural feel, and mature landscapes. There are a wide variety of properties here - the only constant being their proximity to the ocean.
Just down the hill from the University, Cadboro Bay centres around Cadboro Bay Village, and Cadboro-Gyro Beach – a popular destination for many people in the city. Houses here range from 1950’s bungalows, to multimillion dollar beach front mansions.

For a great selection of local and international wines (and always dependable suggestions from the friendly staff) head over to the Caddy Bay Liquor Store. Every village needs its staple pub, and you don’t have to look further than the Smugglers Cove Pub. No matter the time of year, this neighbourhood pub is the ideal place to grab a quick beer after the beach. Prioritizing locally and ethically sourced products, Peppers Foods is the neighbourhood grocer, where you can find anything from fresh local seafood, to produce and meat from the Cowichan Valley.

Things to Do
Gyro Park is a popular local attraction due to its large concrete climbing structures, in the form of an octopus, salmon, tugboat and sea serpent. There’s even a zipline for added thrill. At almost 15 acres, this park and sandy beach is a family friendly option, with incredible views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and Olympic Peninsula.
Long a destination for kayakers and small boat sailors, Cadboro Bay is Victoria's hidden gem for stand-up paddle boarding. Gyro Beach Boards offers both rentals and tours around the area, providing an excellent way to see the coast.
If you’re looking to be pampered, check out Bliss Boutique Spa, a mainstay for over 20 years which offers a variety of services and treatments including massages, skincare treatments, acupuncture, and more, all in a beautifully relaxing setting.
